To facilitate a university-wide focus on the environment by supporting
interdisciplinary action among faculty and students and serve as the University's entry
point for environmental queries.
To promote awareness of environmental issues on the campus, contribute to the
success of the campus as a model for sustainable behavior, utilize the campus as a
laboratory to demonstrate positive change and provide leadership for a sustainable future.
To educate and coordinate basic and applied research to address state, national and
world ecological issues. To conduct research with the institutes/centers of the
School that improves the Earth.
To provide opportunity, including funds and forums, for faculty associates of the School
to participate in multi-disciplinary projects.
To provide outreach to the business, professional environmental, and the education
community for life-long learning regarding the interactions of humans and the environment.
